Poverty and (un)employment
There is a clear relationship in all countries between employment and the risk of poverty. Having a job and the earnings that it provides is typically often the best route out of poverty, though a job in itself may not be enough. In-work poverty, therefore, is a widespread phenomenon across the EU.
