Applica

An independent research company set up in 1992 to carry out research on economic and social issues at regional, national, European and global level.

The reputation it has gained for careful and perceptive analysis combined with the technical and organisational ability to manage the preparation of publications has led the European Commission and associated institutions to entrust Applica to produce some of its most prestigious reports.

European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research

The European Centre is a UN-affiliated intergovernmental organisation concerned with all aspects of social welfare policy and research. 

The organisation is:
  • an international centre of applied social science and comparative empirical research on social policy and welfare
  • an information and knowledge centre providing social science-supported social policy intelligence through a think-net
  • a platform initiating future-oriented public policy debates on social welfare issues within the UN-European Region.

TÁRKI

TÁRKI Social Research Institute is an independent, employee-owned research organisation that specialises in policy research in the fields of social policy and the social consequences of economic policies. This includes related data-collection, archiving and statistical activities. We recently increased our involvement in the areas of strategic market research and health policy analysis. In addition, we regularly contribute to basic research, in the areas of social stratification and inequality, and to the methodology of empirical social research.

The Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER)

ISER specialises in the production and analysis of longitudinal data – evidence which tracks changes in the lives of the same individuals over time.

ISER is a department of the University of Essex and is core-funded by the University and the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). ISER also carries out research for other agencies, including UK and other national government departments, the EU and commercial organisations.
